Airflo Forge Fly Line - Floating

Not just another fly line! With all the fly lines on the market today, it’s often a case of where do I start when it comes decide the correct taper, coatings, cores, etc for your floating line. Add to this the fact, that €70+ is a significant investment in something that you may or may not get right and you can see there could be some hesitation, unless you’ve had chance to find something you like. At the other end of the scale, you have your lower priced fly lines and mill ends, but sometimes these can lack in performance and age quickly, making them a line that ends up being replaced often. The Airflo Forge seeks to address these issues and give you a fly line you can enjoy at a price level that won’t break the bank. Taper With a total head length of 40’ and a working head length of between 33’ to 42’, it is an extremely versatile performer that will work for all levels of casting ability. A relatively long front taper of 8’ (Inc. tip) allows for smooth turnover and precise deliveries, superb for nymphs, dries and any top of the water presentation. Colour The line has a pleasant Warm olive head colour that will help reduce any line flash in the air. A sunrise yellow running line allows you to easily see the transition at the rear taper and help you gauge the optimal amount of line to aerialise when going for distance. Coating The surface on the Forge line is ultra-smooth to the touch and holds a dry lubrication system that not only improves casting performance, but also helps significantly with water repulsion – a key factor in improving floatation and helps with smooth lift offs when covering rising fish. Core The core is a braided multi filament, similar to those found in top end PVC fly lines – if you’re already used to fly lines with a stretch, this will have a similar feel to the lines you may have used previously. Why the price? What’s the catch? At only €45, the Forge has pushed the barriers of performance for this price point of fly line. Being launched globally, this has allowed us to run very large volumes and reduce the cost of manufacture significantly. We’ve also saved by making the line with only two coatings (Super-Dri has three!), finally we dropped off the loop at the reel end, so you still have a great factory welded loop at the tip, but can still connect backing with your regular nail knot or similar. Size: WF3-WF8F Colour: Olive/Sunrise Yellow

NOVA fly reels are available in three sizes; #46 - #79 - #810 and in two different colors - Black and Stardust. Spare spools available for all three models and in both colors. Guideline NOVA Cassette

Through a continuation of our “Clean all the way” movement - which is our vision to significantly reduce our environmental impact as a business – the past 12 months has resulted in the most detailed and focused design study we’ve ever undertaken. Redefining how fly reels are designed, created and manufactured by blending innovative industrial design with low-impact, recycled raw materials means the NOVA fly reel is the most environmentally conscious reel we’ve ever built!Empowering our vision to significantly reduce our environmental impact as anglers. Polymer Cassette spools made from recycled PCR [Post Consumer Resins] and an Innovative, “Minimal-Touch” press release design that allows for rapid changeover of cassette spools for the time sensitive competition angler. Every reel delivers with one cassette mounted on the frame + two extra, in total 3 cassettes delivered with each reel. Two colors available of the frame; Black and Stardust. The cassette plastic spool is always black in color. Avaliable in one size - NOVA Cassette Fly Reel #68.One important aspect of the NOVA fly reel is to understand the correlation between the Cassette #68 and the NOVA #79 – they are manufactured on THE SAME FRAME AND SPOOL SIZING! The only reason the cassette model has a slightly lower line capacity is that the plastic spool has a little smaller inside volume due to thicker walls. But important; the actual #68 and #79 spools and frames are FULLY INTERCHANGABLE! So in short, if you own a #68 Cassette and buy a standard NOVA #79, spools and frame from both reels can be mixed and matched anyway you like. Stoked has taken entry level fly rods to a totally new level of performance. Features eco-friendly components and the latest in materials and production technology.

Stoked features the latest in material patterns and production technology that let us make entry level rods at a totally game changing level. When the development process was over, we were so impressed that we just had to call them what we felt - Stoked. The Stoked series also feature many of the same eco-friendly components as the Elevation, a good incentive for the environmentally cautious angler.

Compared to the Elevation these rods feature a slightly lower modulus carbon 24T/30T/36T vs. 36T/40T which make them easier to cast for the beginner and more forgiving for casting errors. Yet these are light and responsive rods with an action and feel that is associated with rods at a much higher level of performance and price. The rod action is medium fast with a sensitive and stable tip. The bend is progressive down the blank which gives you great feel and you easily connect to the rod for all types of casts.

ROD MODELS

Stoked 8'6 #4, 9' #5 & 9' #6: The 4 and 5 wt are typical all-round trout rods for dries, nymphs and lighter streamers. The 6wt is the choice for bigger flies, bigger fish and more windy conditions a great option for the lighter coastal fishing too.

Stoked 9' #7-8-9: Typical rods for the heavier fishing after migratory trout, pike, salmon, seatrout and bonefish. These rods suit rivers, lakes, coastal and flats fishing where big fish and demeaning conditions are common.

Stoked 9'6 #6-7-8: This rod length is a great compromise and a favourite among many for lake-, coast- and river usage after trout, seatrout and salmon. The slightly longer rod vs a 9ft gives better reach in the river, and height when deep wading or fishing from a boat or float tube. Due to a slightly deeper bend in the action vs the 9ft this length is easier to use for Spey casting and usage of shooting heads when river fishing. Yet, it is not as long as a 10ft rod and will be less affected by the wind when coastal fishing and has more power for these weather exposed fishing places.

Stoked 10' #6-7: These rods are the favourite length for classic lake fishing from boat and bank, they are also an excellent choice for river fishing after trout, sea trout and salmon.

STOKED DETAILS

  • Blanks are painted in a translucent olive green colour with a hint of metallic flakes.

  • New, improved full wells grips without rubber cork reinforcements. This reduces the levels of epoxy-resins needed in the grips. All models except 8’6 #4 and 9’ #5 has fighting butt.

  • Metal parts of reel seats are “clear anodized” which is the least toxic process possible when using aluminium reel seats. We use no chrome (lead) or paint in the anodizing bath.

  • For the coatings on blank, guides and the mounting glue for grips and reel seat, we use a bio-based low-toxic Epoxy, tested and approved with extremely low levels of regulated chemicals. This also adds to a better working atmosphere in the assembly phase of production, reducing health hazardous odours to a minimum.

  • Rods are mounted with light hard chrome guides.

  • Rod bag and rod tube cover are made of recycled REPREVE™ polyester.

  • The rod tubes are made of recycable Polypropylene (PP), they are lighter and have 20% lower diameters than standard PVC tubes. This will save space and money when rods are transported both from the factory and by the user. Given its durability and the possibility to melt and reform into plastic pellets, PP is both reusable and recyclable for producing new goods.

  • All rods are 4-piece.
