Hot Hatches

Warm humid weather this week has given us some ideal conditions on the rivers for trout fishing. The hatches have been amazing and the trout have been rising in good numbers. Not every evening has been good but for the evenings that conditions were right, there has been a good number of fish appearing and a good average size! Steve Peterson from Fly Flyfish Europe had an excellent evening on the Suir and broke in a very large fish. His first trip to the Suir, but I doubt it will be his last. Other clients had some good fishing during the week too, with good rises of fish during the day also. Saturday, today fished really well with fishing rising prolifically during the rain. The rivers are coming into really good order at the moment, the late spring has meant that most of the fishing is a month to 3 weeks behind, so I think the next few weeks will be really good!
