Steve Cullen

I have spent the last 17 years within the fly fishing industry, as a journalist, photographer, brand manager, product developer, and content specialist.

I am a highly-motivated fly fishing guide with an amazing enthusiasm for the sport of fly fishing, a sport which I have been a part of from a very early age. Brought up in the Scottish Borders and I had access to some wonderful wild trout and grayling fishing on both the world-famous River Tweed and its largest tributary, the Teviot. The area also has a wealth of hill lochs too and small, stillwater trout fisheries, all of which I’d visit on a regular basis before I moved south to the English Midlands in 2005.

I’ve been the English National Champion, winner of the Graham Trophy, part of the gold medal-winning team at the inaugural 5 Nations Tournament, and also a team member of the Osprey Fishing team that won the prestigious Lexus Fly Fishing Championships.

Shane Hickey

My name is Shane Hickey. I am a fly angler and tyer from Limerick city. I first started fly fishing about 20 years ago for brown trout on the Shannon and it’s tributary the Mulkear, where my favourite method quickly became dry fly fishing. I am very interested in the different species of insects that our trout feed on and I have extensive experience of still water fly fishing for trout using all methods from buzzer to dry fly. Now my number one interest is salmon fly fishing and tying salmon flies, also love to dye most of my own fly materials. I have a huge interest double handed fly casting and tournament casting. I have been a two time winner of the local Spey O Mega tournament and the winner of the Foxford Riverfest Irish open spey casting championship.
